Headbands -vs- Hats

I love to make hats - but I'm not a fan of wearing them. Another alternative to the hat is the headband. We have made several versions that we will have with us at the crafts shows we are participating in this holiday season.

Here are several versions of a headband that will debut on Saturday, Nov 9 at the 20th Annual Anne Ashley United Methodist Church Craft Show.

These headbands are nice and thick and cover a lot of your head. The actual headband is made holding two strands of yarn together so it is extra warm. As you can see it is accented with a flower with a button in the middle.

The next headband is made by using a cable needle - as a result you can see the nice twist on the headband. It is made with super bulky yarn. We have this headband in all sorts of colors from bright to dark.

Now onto the novelty headband. We were asked to make these turkey headbands. It is made using the same pattern as the headbands with the flower on them.

I was told these headbands will be worn at a Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day.
