Friday was National Yarn Day. I thought I would show and tell you
about a club my sister Donna is in. She belongs to Paradise Fibers Monthly
Knitting Club.
Every month they send her yarn and a project that she is supposed to
complete by the 20th of each month. She then goes onto Ravelry and
posts the picture online for a discount for a future purchase. You can go onto
Ravelry and look up DonnaMaeKnits to see what she has done.
Of course I am going to show you what she has done the last three months.
Her first project was this cowl made using one skein on Mountain
Color Monarch Yarn. Through this project she learned how to do a cable
without using a cable needle.
Her second and third projects were made with the same yarn Mountain
Colors Crazyfoot. She made these fingerless gloves where she learned how to do the thumb and work on her double pointed needle skills.
When she received her third project they suggested she make socks with
the yarn. Donna felt that this yarn was too pretty to hide in shoes so she
decided to make a scarf. I think she made the right decision.
Each month Donna is learning new things with each kit.
We can't wait to see what she will receive this month!
