Knitting By Pam and Donna Get Social

Recently Knitting by Pam and Donna have been making a big effort to be on as many social media sites as possible.
We thought it would be a good idea to let everyone know where we can be found on your favorite social media sites.

On Facebook you can find us by searching for Knitting by Pam and Donna.
We promote heavily on Facebook regarding events we are participating in and new projects we are working on.

Recently we have been posting on Instagram. We can be found on that app by searching knittingpamdonna.

On Twitter you can find us @PamDonnaKnits

On Pinterest you can either search Knitting by Pam and Donna or pamdonnaknits.

Donna belongs to a knitting group on Ravelry - you can find her at DonnaMaeknits.

These socks happen to be one of the projects she did with that group.

We would appreciate it if you would like us or follow us on any of these social media sites.
See you on the web!

World Wide Knit in Public Day - 2016

World Wide Knit in Public Day is June 18, 2016.
People all over the world are taking to the outdoors to knit for others to see.

Knitting by Pam and Donna celebrated at the Swissvale Farmers Market along with a few friends from our knitting groups and neighborhood.

This was a great way to start the weekend!

Why Animals?

We have been at the Swissvale Farmers Market for a month now and we have noticed that the stuffed animals Donna of Knitting by Pam and Donna makes have clearly been our top sellers.

There are reasons why we pick some animals - let us share our method to our madness with you.

The most recent animal we had at the market were the penguins. Now if you are living in the Pittsburgh Region this is a no brainer as the Penguins are currently in the Stanley Cup Finals.

In mid - May the Angry Birds movie was released so that is why Donna made Angry Birds.

It was announced that the huge rubber ducky that was in the river at Point State Park a few years back is coming back to Pennsylvania - but it is going to Erie.
The people of the Pittsburgh Region loved this duck so we thought that may be a good thing to make.

Sometimes people ask us to make a certain animal - that was the case with the Unicorns and the Minecraft Creeper.

Sometimes Donna just makes what she wants to make based on what has sold in the past or if she finds a cute pattern.

You never know what we may have in the future so you definitely want to keep watching.
