Remember the market is open from 9a - 1p every Saturday until Oct 31.

Yarn Bowls

For some reason yarn and pottery seem to go together - at least for Donna and I.
The corner of our knitting studio we have a shelf that holds all of our yarn bowls.

Why two people need these many yarn bowls is beyond me ... but we do seem to use them either for storage or to actually hold a ball of yarn.

In these close up pictures you will notice most of these bowls have a slit in the side. You are suppose to put the yarn through that slit when knitting so the ball doesn't roll all over the floor.

Not sure who made this - we bought it from a local potter.

These are made by Missy Steele Pottery

The Purl and Knit Bowls are made by The Mud Place Handcrafted Pottery by Leslie

This picture is a mug that looks like a sweater - from Yankee Candle. It doesn't have a slit in the side. You are supposed to put a jar candle inside.  We use it to store our double pointed needles.

You can't show a picture of our studio without showing our impressive crock of knitting needles!

Happy Knitting!
